Putnam Valley, NY – This year’s Annual Town Day was a resounding success, with the Putnam Valley Volunteer Ambulance Corps (PVVAC) actively participating in the event. The team spent the day engaging with the community, handing out swag, and providing medical assistance for minor injuries.

In addition to the adult volunteers, the PVVAC Youth Corps played an essential role by offering free vital sign checks and applying fun temporary tattoos for children. Their involvement highlighted the next generation of EMS workers, giving them valuable experience in interacting with the public and promoting health awareness.

Throughout the day, the PVVAC crews remained on call and responded to two emergency calls within the town, as well as one emergency at the park where the event was held. Despite these challenges, the team managed to maintain their presence at Town Day while ensuring that the community’s medical needs were met.

Several event attendees expressed interest in joining PVVAC, with many taking applications for riding or associate member positions. The Corps encourages anyone interested in contributing to their vital work to visit their website at pvvac.org or contact the Captain directly at captain@pvvac.org.
